The history of technical climbing in the Shawangunks only
goes back to 1935, but it is painted with stories that could
fill many history books. The climbers that have graced these
cliffs have left a great deal in their wake, and there is
much activity that continues to shape this great place today.
We at theuberfall.com have decided to dedicate our website
to preserving some of the varied stories that we hear echoed
around the cliffs every weekend. This section will offer
brief introductions to the people that have made their mark
on Gunks history.
